To become an approved foster for GDR, you must complete the foster application and undergo a rigorous screening, including reference checks, vet checks, and a virtual home visit.

The most important thing all fosters provide to the GDR pups is a loving, safe home. Opening your homes to these pups gives them time to build their confidence and a sense of security. GDR can provide food and supplies if needed.

You will always have someone to call with any concerns. Our vetting team will help with scheduling any needed care, and in the event of an emergency, we trust our fosters to seek care. GDR does not expect fosters to be responsible for any approved vetting costs.

Foster families are a wealth of information about their pups. We will rely on your assessments and concerns. The overall approval will be from the adoption team.
